Dear Friend:

The final concert of the Riverside Orchestra’s 2009-10 season has arrived:

Friday, May 14, 2010, at Trinity School, 101 West 91st Street

             8:00 PM sharp.

The concert will begin with the overture to Mozart’s Magic Flute and will feature the New York City Opera baritone, Nicholas Pallesen He will sing Songs of Travel by Vaughn Williams and the aria, Largo al factotum, from Rossini’s opera, the Barber of Seville. The concert will conclude with the  Schumann Symphony No. 1 (Spring).  Steve Mosteller will conduct.

We are all aware that these are very hard times for everybody.  However, if each of you BRINGS ONE NEW PERSON TO OUR CONCERT that would make a big difference for the orchestra and would be very much appreciated.  We are trying very hard to keep our amazing price of $12 (if you buy tickets in advance) for our concert and party.

And as usual, to complete this unique New York experience: our famous post-concert buffet: pizza, pasta, meat balls, juice, salad and wine to top off a great musical evening in grand style.

Your financial support helps the Riverside Orchestra continue to exist.  We urge you to become a patron:  $25 makes you a Friend, $50 a Contributor, $100 a Donor, $250 a Supporter, $500 a Sustaining Member, and $1,000 a Benefactor.  A special section is reserved for patrons.

To attend send a check for $12 for each ticket.  Checks must be payable to the Riverside Orchestra.  (At the door tickets will be $15).  Mail your ticket order, with a stamped self-addressed envelope, to Dr. Ephraim Rubin, 24 West 96th Street, New York, NY 10025.  .
